This is Dorothy. Dorothy Stima had a special place in her heart for the hurting. In 2005, Dorothy saw the need for a shelter for homeless women and opened the Monroe Gospel Women's Mission.
In March of 2018, Dorothy lost her battle with cancer but gained her new home with her Savior, Jesus Christ. After Dorothy's passing, her son, Pastor John Stima of Monroe Baptist Church had a desire to carry on Dorothy's Legacy and with the help of many volunteers, Dorothy's House was opened with the specific goal of helping pregnant homeless women. Dorothy's House opened their doors in 2018 and has helped over 16 women in that short time.
